Building up the students’ conversation skill through profile of actress (An Experimental Research of the Second Students at SMAN 15 Bone)

The objective of the research is to find out whether describe profile of actress can influence the students’ performance in conversation skill or not. The population of the research was the second years of SMAN 1 ULAWENG. The samples of the research consisted of 32 samples and the researcher used students in exact class. The instruments of this research was taken by speaking test, and given a questionnaire to know about students’ interest. The result of the research indicated that describe profile actress technique can enchance students’ conversation skill. It was proved by the value of the t-test (5,841) was greater that the t-table (2,042). Based on finding and discussion of this research, the researcher drawn a conclussion that through profile of actress can build up students’ performance in conversation skill at second years of SMAN 15 BONE.
A. Conclusion
The researcher explain the conclusion withaccumulated from 32 students of SMAN 1 ULAWENG. In pre test the students’ total score for pronunciation was 250 scores, the students’ total score for grammar was 230 score, the students’ total score for vocabulary was 270 score, the students’ total score for fluency was 185 score, and the students’ score for comprehension was 205 score. In post test , the students’ total score for pronunciation was 600 score, the students’ total score for grammar was 565 score, the students’ total score for vocabulary was 580 score, the students’ total score for fluency was 605, and the students’ total score for comprehension was 585 score. We can see that the result from all of students’ achievement.
Based on the findings and the data analyzing in the preceding chapter, we can see and drawconclusion that studying conversation through profile of actress is one of strategy that can building up the students’ conversation skill. It can be seen of the students of the second years in SMAN 1 ULAWENG , that they have prior skill of conversation before applying describe profile of actress is still low, the researcher is proved the data that the most of students got poor and very poor score classification with mean score of students’ pre test was
B. Suggestions
In view of fact that the application describe profile of actress teaching conversation skill, has been proved in building up the students’ conversation skill, the researcher would like to give suggestions as follows:
1. For the Teacher:
a.The teacher can be creative to manage the material in the classroom for teaching conversation skill such as applying describe profile of actress to build up the students’ skill in conversation.
b. The teacher can be give aware to the students that learning conversation is one of skills that important in English language.
c. The English teacher can be applied this activity as one of the ways to enhance students’ conversation skill to the English learning.
2. for the students:
The students of the second years SMAN 1 ULAWENG have to build up their ability in English, especially in conversation skill.
