This thesis is about an analysis of teacher strategy’s in teaching speaking by
using conversation at SMA AMIR ISLAM Watampone in Jl. Sungai kapuas, District
of Tanete Riattang of Bone Regency, The purpose of this research to know what
strategy the use of teacher at the twelfth grade of SMA AMIR ISLAM Watampone.
In this research, the researcher used a type of qualitative research that
recognizes the role of the subject (researcher) when observing facts, analyze and
interpret facts outside the self and the subject concerned. The instruments used in this
research are in-depth observation, in-depth interview and documentation. Sources of
data in this research is the teacher in SMA AMIR ISLAM Watampone, but the
priority in this research is students in twelfth grade. The collected research data is
then analyzed by using qualitative descriptive analysis technique.
The results showed that the form of how teacher strategy in the class at the
twelfth grade of SMA AMIR ISLAM Watampone, District of Tanete Riattang of
Bone Regency, students activeness It is good based on observations and interviews
that have been obtained by the research where the teacher SMA AMIR ISLAM
Watampone has guided his students to learn active using expository learning strategy.
How to activate students in speaking is to do strategy to attract students' learning
interest.
A. Conclusion
Based on the result described in previous chapter, it can be concluded that
based on observations and interview that have been obtained by the researcher where
the teacher guided their students to be more active in speaking by using strategies
that have been prepared by the teacher. . by using learning strategies students can be
more active in receiving the material given by the teacher. How to overcome when
students do not have interest in learning or at first they feel bored with learning, based
on the results of observations and interviews, the teacher certainly has a strategy in
teaching speaking by using conversation. The teacher use expository learning strategy
to explain about the material, answer question to know the comprehension of student,
and a game or joke when the student is not interest to the learning process.
By using expository learning strategies the student can more interest and active
to the learning process. The student more easy to understand about the material that
have been delivered by the teacher. So they can express their knowledge by speaking
or conversation between their teacher or friends. The student achievement academic
is increase.
B. Implication
Without reducing respect for all those who are competent in educational
institutions, the humble writer gives suggestions for better implementation of AMIR
ISLAM High School on Sungai Kapuas street. Suggestion include:
a. For principals, caregivers and teachers, they must discuss how to make the
student keep interest and active to support the smooth learning process.
b. For the teachers council, the strategy used in overcoming the saturation of
students in the learning process is good but still needs to be improved again so
the students can not feel bored again and more enthusiastic in learning in
order to create quality students.
