Using Android Dictionary to Motivate the Students’ Learning in English Vocabulary at the Second Semester of English Educational Department STAIN Watampone

This thesis presents research about Using Android Dictionary to Motivated
the Students Learning in English Vocabulary at the Second Semester of English
Educational Department STAIN Watampone. The objective of this research is To find
out the students motivation in learning English vocabulary using android dictionary.
This research employed qualitative design. The population and sample of this
research was the second semester of English Department STAIN Watampone. The
sample of this research are the students who use android dictionary consisted of 20
students. This research used purpossive sampling technique. The research data were
collected by questionnaire and interview for the students’ learning English
vocabulary motivation. The result of the research are: (1) The analysis of
questionnaire that among 20 students 30% got very high and 70% got high category.
The students were highly motivated in learn English vocabulary using android
dictionary. (2) the reason of the students learning English vocabulary motivation are
the android dictionary is interesting, thus the students can found new subject, more
active and can get more idea in learn English vocabulary. This evidence is that using
Android dictionary is effective to motivated the students in learning English
vocabulary at the second semester of English Department STAIN Watampone.
A. Conclusion
Based on the findings, the writer would like to put forward some conclusions
as follows:
The use of android dictionary were motivated the students in learning English
vocabulary, and the students like if they were used android dictionary in learning
English vocabulary.
1. Using Android Dictionary To Motivate The Students’ Learning In English
Vocabulary. It was proved by the formulations, we get result of the
analysis of questionnaire that among 20 students 30% got very high and
70% got high category. None of the students got moderate, low and very
low motivated in learning English vocabulary using android dictioanry
especially Dictionary.com. The students were highly motivated in learn
English vocabulary using android dictionary.
2. The students in learn English vocabulary by using Android dictionary
motivated because it is interesting, thus the students can found new
subject, more active and can get more idea in learn English vocabulary.
B. Suggestions
In relation to the conclusion above, the writer would like to suggest the
following points:
1. To English lecturers order to design a special medium for improve the
students motivation in learninf English vocabulary of English Education
Departement.
2. The students must have a high motivation to increase their vocabulary to be
well in English.
3. For the next researcher, this research was found that android dictionary
able to increase students English vocabulary. The researcher realizes that
this study is limited and far from perfectness. So, the next researcher can
also prove this medium effectiveness in students motivation in learning
English vocabulary.
