This thesis presents research about The Effect of English Course in Highlight Vocabulary at the Second Year Students at MTs Latteko. The problem statement of this research is: “does the English course affect in highlight vocabulary at the second year students at MTs Lattekko?” and the objective of this research is to know whether English Course is influnce in highlight vocabularyat the second year students at MTs Lattekko or not. This research uses pre-experimental design (quantitative). The population of this research the students’ at the eleventhgrade of MTs Lattekko which consits of 17 students. The researcher applies total sampling, so the sample consists all of 17 students of the second year at MTs Lattekko. This research uses quantitative method and pre-experimental design. The researcher gives pre test, treatment and post tes, where as dataobtained through test score are analyzed by using mean score and t-test formula. The result shows that there is a significant increasing in student achievement after providing care. It is provided in the table in chapter III. The table indicates that t-test is obtained by the students (10.61) grather than t-table (2.120). the mean score of pre test is 55.17 and post test is 75.72. it means that Ho is rejected and H1 accepted. It means that theris is effect of English Course in Highlight Vocabulary at the Second Year Students at MTs Lattekko. Based on the data it could be understood that English Course is effective to highlight students’ vocabulary achievement to the students at the second year of MTs Lattekko.rnA. ConclusionrnBased on the problem statement, the researcher concluds that the level significance (p) 0,05 and degree of freedom (df) 16, then value of the table = 2.120 and t-test = 10.61. thus, the value of t-test is greather than t-table (10.61>2.120). it means that there is effect of english course in highlight vocabulary at the second year students at MTs Lattekko.rnB.SugeggestionrnIn view of fact that English course activity in teaching English vocabulary has been proved being effective in increasing students' vocabulary abd students' ionterest in learning English vocabulary, the research would like to give suggestion as follow;rna. For teachersrnThe research hope that the teacher should give more interesting strategy to the students. It is in order to make them fun and enjoy in learning English. The teacher also should have something new and interested in order to make the students are not bored moreover, teacher can build students' motivation in learning English.rnb. For ResearchersrnTheresearch hope tjhat this research can be the one of the references for the further research dealing with deadling with reading. The researcher also hopes that this research able to give more information abaout teaching vocabulary through English course activity.rnrn
