Student’s Perspective in Mastering Vocabularies Through Audio Media at the Fourth Semester of English Study Program of STAIN Watampone

This thesis presents research about Student’s Perspective in Mastering Vocabularies Through Audio Media at the Fourth Semester of English Study Program of STAIN Watampone. One of the alternative teaching ways to improve the students’ vocabulary is audio media. By using this media, students will feel happy and make it easy for the students in the learning process. The objective of this research is to know students’ perspective in mastering vocabularies through audio visual media at the fourth semester of English Study Program of STAIN Watampone. This research use qualitative desciptive approach by using case study, this research employs a true research through interview and questionnaire. The researcher takes two students each class as sample. It proposes on to describe the students’ perspective in mastering vocabulary. The researcher implements the research to 8 students of fourth semester of english study program at STAIN Watampone in academic year 2016/2017. The procedure of collecting data will be performed through questionaire and interview. The researcher gives 2 questionnaires. The first questionnaire is to find out the students’ motivation toward audio media and the second questionnaire is to find out the students’ knowledge using audio media. Interview techniques as necessary, in order to facilitate the researcher to find out the informantion who suppose to provide concrete data relating to the discussion in the study with direct dialogue with the informant to obtain the required information.
The result of this research is most of students are interested to use audio media. Audio media make an increase in students’ knowledge. They can practice their listening and concentration in learning. They know about the pronounciation and understand the lessons. Learning by using audio media made the students enjoy and help them understand the lessons.
A.Conclusion
Based on the result of data analysis and discussion in the previous chapter, the researcher concluded that students of the fourth semester of English study program of STAIN Watampone are motivated and increased their knowledge in mastering vocabulariy through audio media. Most of students are interested to use audio media in listening and vocabulary. Learning process by using audio media is not bored and not monotonous for the students. Audio media make an increasing in students’ knowledge. They can practice their listening and concentration in learning. They know about the pronounciation and understand the lessons. They are active in expressing their feeling and presented their work when learned by using audio media. Learning by using audio media make the students enjoy and help them understand the lessons.
B.Sugestion
Based on the conlusion above the researcher put some sugestion as follows:
1.The teacher or lecturer can exploi the positive effect of audio media that provide many advantages in leaning english specially in listening and vocabulary.
2.Student can use audio media in learning english to know more and make it more interesting.
